Cryomassage

( for dermatological & cosmetic procedures )

Cryomassage denotes repeated short applications of superficial cold on healthy body tissue with a cryoinstrument to accelerate the process of stimulation and biological regeneration in the case of an anemic or hyperemic skin surface.

The special cryoprobes are cylindrically formed. Cryoprobes varying in size with a diameter ranging from 19 to 37 mm can be used so that different parts of the body can be effectively massaged .

A temperature ranging form -40 Cº to -50 Cº is applied, The cryomassage cycle lasts for 1 to 3 min. A complete treatment includes 3 to 6 cycles once a month.
Cryomassage is especially indicated in the case of dry or aged and withered skin. Why so?

Because no injury to lipid and protein containing complexes and no vascular stasis in the skin occurs in the course of this effective cryosurgical treatment .

The effectiveness of cryomassage is enhanced when the skin is cleansed beforehand.

Metabolic processes and microcirculation are improved in the course of this cryogenic procedure regenerating the patient's anemic or hyperemic skin surface.

As a general rule a stimulation and biological regeneration process can be observed in the skin.

Under the microscope, a regenerated new skin layer- epidermis-consisting of 10 to 20 layers of cells is observed.

In the regenerated epithelium one can make out the basal spinous and out the basal spinous and corneal skin layers.

These histological changes resulting from the cryomassage therapy could form the basis for the treatment of baldness future studies will provide clinical results in this regard.

Indications:

Cryomassage is used in cosmetic medicine like an anemic or hyperemic skin surface, baldness and alopecia, dry or aged and withered skin.
